Accessing the App Menu on Samsung Android devices

Accessing the "menu" on some Android devices isn't always very obvious, in particular on the Samsung Galaxy range of phones. Here is where to find it...

Samsung Galaxy S5 and newer

To access the menu for the soft token, tap and hold on the recent apps button in the bottom left corner of the device (hard button) to bring up the available options of “Transaction” and “Options”.

The button on these models is marked as two windows/rectangles, one on top of the other, and its primary usage is as the “recent apps” button. Tapping it once will give you a list of all of your active applications. Holding it down is the standard way to access the context menu for these types of devices.

Samsung Galaxy S4 and older

To access the menu for the soft token, tap the menu button in the bottom left corner of the device (hard button) to bring up the available options of “Transaction” and “Options”.

The button on these models is marked as a menu, and is the standard “context menu” button for these types of devices.
